“Bat’s Big Game”

“Bat’s Big Game” Retold by Margaret Read Macdonald and Illustrated by Eugenia Nobati this story is about animals and birds having a soccer game. The main character is a bat whose name is Bat. Bat just wants to play on the winning side, he can because he is both an animal and a bird. He started off on the bird team then he switched to the animal team, it was one nothing birds and bat was on the animal team. I make a connection to this book because I am very sporty and I always want to win and never lose. This book rates to a lot of life experiences but the main one that I think of is when I was playing baseball with my friends and my team was losing so I switched teams to be on the winning team. This book relates to Game Change a hockey book that relates to this. This book connects to the real world in many ways in sports, everyone wants to win and there are a lot of people in sports that have cheated to win. I saw a football game on tv when someone cheated and I guess this relates to the book.
