Stolen Words

In are second PB blog we read “Stolen Words” written by Melanie Florence and  illustrated by Gabrielle Grimard. This book is about a seven year old and her Grandpa. The girl asked her Grandpa how to say grandpa in Cree, Cree is first nation language. But the Grandpa lost his language in residential school. I thought this book was very meaningful. This book was amazing it teaches what happened to the first nation people and what happened to them. I enjoyed writing this PB blog, I really enjoyed the book.

Hey, Little Ant

“Hey, Little Ant” by Phillip and Hannah Hoose illustrated by Debbie Tilley is the book that we read today for are PB blogs. This book is about a boy and a ant . The boy found the ant on the road and tried to squish it. The ant was talking to the boy, telling him not to squish me (the ant) and telling the boy what would you do if i was you. This book is targeted at primary kids. I liked the illustrations in this book because they aren’t too cartoony. I thought the book was good because it teaches a good lesson. Overall I enjoyed doing are first PB write.
